Why "Primitive"?

Beginning in the late 1700s, the Church in England, America, and beyond experienced a period of renewal and growth like few other times in history. The story of this Methodist movement unfolds like a seamless continuation of the book of Acts. Not surprisingly, its founder, John Wesley, explained the movement as a return to the "primitive" Christianity of the New Testament.

"Primitive" today remains the same.

Why "Methodical"?

For Jesus, the proclamation of the truth was inseparable from a way of life. His invitation was not to hear and consent, but to follow and obey. Discipleship was a commitment not only to Jesus' teaching, but to his habits and rhythms of life, his relational patterns, and his mission.

Discipleship today remains the same. It is nothing less than a "methodical" adoption of prayer, solitude, study of Scripture, fasting, generosity, fellowship, worship, and mission.

Why this platform?

This site exists to inspire, encourage, connect, empower, and mobilize primitive and methodical disciples. It exists because the Church at large is in need of renewal and the world is in need of Jesus.
